Your emotional intelligence is a gateway to understanding yourself and all things pertaining to you and your environment. The human brain is a sponge absorbing everything around it, to take better control of it you need more focus on the things you want to manifest in your life. I’d like to elaborate more on the depictions in my first post over meditation. I’d like to spread more awareness on the social and spiritual benefits of meditating. So, take a few minutes grab your graham crackers, grab the chocolate and marshmallows, so we can make some heat happen! Now I have been personally meditating for about 4 years now 2 years consistently. When I first started, I was watching a documentary on Netflix explaining the law attraction from the documentary the law states,” whether the thoughts you think are good or bad they shall be so watch what you think”. I don’t believe that was the exact quote, but the message hit me in another way. I immediately went to thinking about making millions of dollars all the time for like a month straight. I remember closing my eyes and literally picturing me on big bags of money with no worries. To my surprise as I got closer to my meditations and once my understanding broadened, I realized that I have been doing this all wrong. Meditation is a powerful too that I feel connects us to another world, I truly believe in the art and I have gotten the chance to see its aura firsthand. It is not controlled by the materialisms of this world but more it is controlled by the intangibles of this world. How many of us can truly say we believe in the things we can’t see? We question our perspective “God’s” every chance we get when something goes wrong. Do we not believe in faith or the balance good and bad mediated by humankind? When do we practice patience and being calm and still? Slowing ourselves down is one of the best ways for us to learn more and speed things up. Once we establish patience, we can see this beautiful world in a broader perspective. I know for most of us that money and things along that nature will solve our “in our face constantly tearing me down in the mind” problems. I know that this material world can allude us and drown us in the now, but I promise after constant meditation belief in yourself will arise and fire will ember inside of you constantly never flaming out. So, pick a time when your mind is most clear, and nothing will distract you. Sit in silence and just let your thoughts play out how they should. Once you’ve relaxed yourself and you are calm as possibly can be proceed with the meditation. I for one like to sit outside near or under a tree, in the night I like to sit under the brightest star or follow the cycles of the moon. It really brings a sense of spiritual guidance for me. Close your eyes sit Indian style if you can and take long deep slow and steady breaths. Clear your head at this point don’t allow any thoughts to continuously develop. Calming your mind and removing good and bad thoughts is a good exercise in gaining the asset of having mind control over yourself. We are creatures of habit and along with habits follows addictions. These addictions and habits can be aimed in the right direction but it’s the bad ones that are the most easily attracted. When you think of bad habits and addictions you think of smoking, drinking, overindulgence in sex things along those lines. Once an addiction and it develops into a habit and after that it develops into a lifestyle. It becomes a part of your everyday livelihood it will become hard to shake at that point. So, the focal point of meditation is gaining more control over your thought process and begin to question your thinking. Begin to challenge your mind keeping your brain in a frequent state comfortability urges growth and development. This life can be so free and beautiful if we just take the time to look inside and understand ourselves.
